Area Of Specialization:

About 24 years research experience in the field of forest pathology and 8 years in Mycology (before joining ICFRE) in relation to isolation, identification of fungal pathogens and evolving chemical/biopesticidal/biological management strategies of economic important diseases of forest seeds, nurseries and plantations of arid and semi-arid tree species. Isolation, identification of AM fungi on selected arid zone tree species & their impact on forest tree species. Imparting training on nursery and plantations diseases and possibilities of their management & VAM technology to SFDs, NGOs and progressive farmers. Completed about four research project as a PI one consultancy project funded by various agencies like, ICFRE/WB(FREE)/GSBTM and four projects as Co-PI. Published /presented about 70 research papers, chapters in books, popular articles etc. in national and international reputed journals/proceedings/books/news letter on these aspects.
